Dr. Nowak is one of the elite gynecologists in the United States experienced in minimally invasive surgery (MIS). He has trained with some of the best gynecologists in the U.S. and has served on panels providing input on new products. Dr. Nowak was instrumental in encouraging Munson Medical Center to offer the da Vinci for advanced gynecologists. Dr. Nowak was the first gynecologist in Northern Michigan that was listed on the da Vinci physician locator.
Dr. Nowak graduated from A T Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1977. He did his internship at Normandy Osteopathic Hospital in 1978 and his residency at Metropolitan Hospital. He is now affiliated with Munson Medical Center.
Dr. Nowak enjoys spending his free time watching his two children, raise his four grandchildren. He attends as many of his grandchildren’s sports and activities as he can. He has a love for the outdoors and all the area has to offer.
The first smiling face you will see. Marlene has been at Women’s Health Pavilion for 22 years. She handles all Front Desk responsibilities, scheduling, ordering lab requests, assisting patients in scheduling, assisting Dr. Nowak with maintaining patients charts and will check you in upon arrival. Marlene has lived in Traverse City her entire life. She enjoys being at her lake house, gardening and spending time with her granddaughter.
You will see Pamela’s smiling face assisting Dr. Nowak in the patients rooms, however her main responsibilities are scheduling your surgery, ensuring your insurance is up to date and if a prior authorization is needed, she handles that as well. Pamela assists in all areas of the office in multiple rolls. If you have any concerns or requests, contact Pamela. Born in Boston, she has lived in the Traverse City Area for over 50 years. Having an adopted child in her later years, she spends her time keeping up with him, biking, hiking and perched at the skatepark. Pamela is an animal lover and has several pets.
